Catch Lively Music at Winter Jazzfest

The big New Year’s Eve concert may be long gone, but that doesn’t mean that the music has to stop! To start your new year off on the right note, check out the annual Winter Jazzfest! The weeklong festival’s main events are held on Friday, January 11 and Saturday, January 12, where you can catch live music during the event’s signature Greenwich Village marathon. The two-day finale is a buzzing, multi-stage showdown that highlights some of the best musicians in New York City and is known to be one of the most highly anticipated concerts in the city. Catch more than 100 different groups throughout the week and during the marathon’s performance, at roughly a dozen venues in Lower Manhattan. Anticipated names include bassist, rapper, and singer Meshell Ndegeocello as the artist-in-residence, veteran drummer Billy Hart and saxophonists Gary Bartz and Pharoah Sanders, among emerging contemporary artists.
