Charleston Your Way to the Jazz Age Lawn Party

Practice the Charleston and grab your best flapper dress, the Jazz Age Lawn Party is back for another year of 1920s fun! This two-day celebration takes place on August 24 and August 25 and brings event-goers donned in their spats and pearls to Governors Island for an afternoon of dancing, music, games, and more. You and your friends can enjoy sipping on Prohibition-era cocktails (hello, Aperol Spritz!), test your moves in of-era dance lessons, play croquet, and dance to the music from some amazing jazz performances. This year’s lineup includes Michael Arenella and His Dreamland Orchestra, the ultimate 1920s ensemble, all led by the party host himself, Michael Arenella. This dazzling decade is always worth celebrating, but especially with the famed Governors Island as its setting. Be sure to grab your tickets in advance—they go quickly. We’ll meet you on the dance floor!
