Cycle into Spring

Since 1956, May has been National Bike Month. Given NYC’s ever increasing number of bike lanes, coupled with the popular Citi Bike program, we recommend you check out our gorgeous metropolis in the most eco-conscious and healthy way possible. Here are a few of our favorite trails to get you started:

  1. The Queen Cemetery Belt: Follow the path from the entrance of Calvary Cemetery till you reach a mausoleum and tombstones. You’ll recognize the spot just across the way as the site where Vito Corleone was put in the ground in the Martin Scorsese classic The Godfather.
  1. Randall’s Island: Take the trail along the water for four-and-a-half miles of gardens, greenery, and salt marsh, all the way to the archways of Hell Gate Bridge and back.
  1. Salvation Army Warehouse: The forty-minute round trip from our hotel to Woodside, Queens, will give you a solid workout, and you’ll get some shopping done too, enough to satisfy the most discerning and thrifty of hipsters.

When you’re finished cycling for the day, a refreshing shower and world-class service await you back at your Manhattan View Hotel.
