Experience a Kaleidoscope of Beauty at NYBG’s Orchid Show

Spring is in the air in New York City and there’s no better way to celebrate the coming warm weather than a trip to the New York Botanical Garden. Getting a jump start on spring, the NYBG is currently hosting their annual Orchid Show, with this year’s exhibit helmed by floral designer Jeff Leatham. Now through April 19, join locals and visitors alike as they take in the first blooms of spring. The theme, The Orchid Show: Jeff Leatham’s Kaleidoscope, transforms the conservatory into a brightly-colored prismatic dream—like looking through the turning lens of a kaleidoscope. Now in their 18th year, the exhibition is home to thousands of species of blooming orchids which are displayed in botanical sculptures, winding vine-like ropes, and artistic formations. For a one-of-a-kind experience, head to the gardens at night, where the exhibit comes alive with light displays, cocktails and bites, and live performances.
