November Fun in NYC
Halloween is just a few days away, and then within the blink of eye, Thanksgiving and the holidays will be upon us – and there is a near-endless list of fun activity to enjoy in New York City. Here’s a glimpse of what we’re looking forward to next month.
Macy’s celebration of Thanksgiving – It starts with the inflation of the parade balloons the evening of Nov. 25 (Snoopy, Santa Claus and more) and then the iconic parade on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 26. The musical performances, colorful balloon characters, and infectious holiday spirit catapult you into the winter season.
There are tons of stories to tell in the city, and the expressive holiday windows in some of New York City’s department stores succeed in engaging viewers with magical, snow-kissed winter tales. Be sure to check out the displays at Macy’s, Saks 5th Avenue, Barney’s, Lord & Taylor, and more, which generally launch around Thanksgiving.
Head to multiple venues throughout NYC to glide, figure-eight and spin around the ice. Check out The Rink at Rockefeller Center, Trump Rink in Central Park, and The Rink at the Bank of America Winter Village in Bryant Park. Rinks are either open or open very soon. Skate rentals are available.
A terrific way to cap off a day of cool-weather activities is a decadent and warming mug of hot chocolate. There is no shortage of places where you can savor this rich, creamy beverage! City Bakery, Lavazza at Eataly, Martha’s Country Bakery (Queens), Jacques Torres (NYC and Brooklyn) – the list goes on. Pair hot chocolate with a yummy dessert and go all out!
Why not make these experiences extra special by spending a few days with us between Thanksgiving and Christmas? A mini-vacation of mega-experiences!
